8 weeks
I'm sure I will say this every month/year that passes, but I cannot believe Lennon is 8 weeks old. The time is passing so quickly, but we are making sure to appreciate every moment we can. It has been amazing to see the changes in our little girl these last eight weeks. She in incredibly alert and often finds the world too interesting to sleep (in other word she is awake a lot!). We have had several strangers comment on how alert she is for her age. Of course we take this to mean that she is quite smart already. This week we had my postpartum checkup with the midwife who delivered Lennon. Cassie was so wonderful during my labor, and we were so happy to see her again. Lennon weighed in at exactly three pounds over birthweight, 11#7.5oz. She has taken to talking a lot, which makes us laugh every time. She often looks very serious, but in between those moments she is full of smiles now. I can't even imagine what changes this next month will bring.

6 weeks
I can't believe 6 weeks have passed since Lennon joined our family. I can't imagine life without her! She is changing and growing so much every day, and I often wish there was a pause button to slow things down a little. Lennon had her first family vacation in Frisco with my family last weekend. It's a trip we take every year for nearly the last 20 years. She was great on vacation and allowed us to join in on most of the festivities including her first boat ride.

Fun on the fourth
We had a great fourth of July with lots of family. Lennon's Mimi (Sean's mom Jane) was in town and helped me cook up a delicious spread to serve to my family and one of Sean's Academy buddies. We enjoyed beautiful weather until a late evening thunderstorm moved the party inside. My brother-in-law Kutter is great with a camera and captured some of the fun.
Lennon is more fun every day. She is smiling a ton, lets out a giggle every now and then and is such a joy to be around.
