3 months and a milestone

Three months ago yesterday we were celebrating Lennon's birthday...hard to believe. The time is passing so quickly, and we are trying to take the time to enjoy every moment. We have a feeling this little girl is going to be a mover. She surprised us today by rolling over from back to front. She hasn't stopped since. I have a feeling this is the beginning of some major changes in my day to day routine :)
At three months Lennon is:
rolling over!
teething which has caused a change in her sleeping habits (we're hoping it's temporary)
smiling and starting to giggle (especially at my off-key versions of itsy bitsy spider and pop goes the weasel)
still cooing and talking in her sleep, which we can't get enough of

Time flies...

I can't believe we celebrated our 7th anniversary. In those seven years we've moved six times between four states and had a mountain of adventures. This year was different...extra special. We got to share our celebration with the pea. She gave us the gift of eight hours of sleep in a row the night before. It was definitely a gift because she hasn't done it since ;) Sean cooked a delicious meal for us, and we watched our wedding video. It was so fun to look back at that night, and all of the special people who shared it with us. We had an especially tender moment when we realized that three loved ones very near and dear to our hearts have passed since that night. It was wonderful to see Ti-Mom, Bob and Uncle Donnie all enjoying themselves. We miss them dearly. I am so thankful for my husband. I could never have imagined that my love for him would grow the way it has since Lennon entered our lives. He is an incredible husband and an amazing father. I am truly blessed.

Couldn't post without a pic of Lennon. I'll post more of an update on her this weekend with 3 month pictures.

8 week photos

My friend Laura came to our home to take some pictures of Lennon at 8 weeks old. She put a little preview of the pictures on her blog at http://www.themoffats.blogspot.com/ She is a great photographer, and Lennon loved her! Thanks Laura!

Sweet sleep

This little girl slept nearly eight straight hours last night! We were shocked! She has been sleeping 5-6 hours straight on average, which has been amazing, but 8 in a row was a real treat. I know this will sound crazy, but I truly don't mind waking up with Lennon in the middle of the night. Some of my favorite memories of her so far are from our nighttime feedings. However, I'm not going to argue with a good nights sleep. She is beginning to teeth so I know these long stretches won't last, but we will try to catch up on our sleep while we can.
At two and a half months Lennon is:
very very alert and always aware of her surroundings
talking and smiling all the time
holding her head up quite well
starting to put her hands in her mouth often
sleeping great at night, but still enjoying being worn or held for naps during the day (which I love!)
Thank you Lord for what an amazing blessing Lennon is to our family.

2 months

Lennon had her two month checkup today. We are happy to report that she is perfect (at least we think so)! She is 11 pounds 11.6 ounces and 23.5 inches long. At two months she is smiling lots (despite her serious face in most pictures) and talking to us often. She loves to smile at and talk to our ceiling fans. She is a cat napper during the day most of the time, but is sleeping longer chunks at night which is wonderful. She loves her daddy lots, and smiles anytime she sees him or hears his voice. Her development continues to amaze us, and we thank the Lord daily for what a blessing she is.
